Registering and Identifying.

This part will be to tell you how to register your nick, and how to identify with it. It'll also go into automating your mIRC so it will identify by itself.
Registering a nick:
It's important that you register your nick for two reasons:
A) So nobody else goes onto your name and impersonates you
B) So you can automatically get OPERATOR STATUS (AKA "OPs") in the IRC channel
So here's what you do:
1) Log into Espernet with the name you want to register. You can change it by typing /nick followed by another nick you want to use if yours is already taken.
2) Send a message to "NickServ" in this format:
/msg NickServ REGISTER password email
Make sure the password's something you can remember, like any other password you have. I don't know if the e-mail address has to be valid, but you have to put something in to register. By the way, you can type this in any window while you're connected to the IRC server.
3) You're registered! Moving on to identifying with a nick now...
Identifying to a nick:
You'll need to identify if you want to actually make use of registering your nick. This will let you do stuff like get OPs upon entering #noddr among other things. So here's how you identify:
1) Send a message to "NickServ" in this format:
/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password
Again, you can enter this anywhere, and of course, password is where you put the password you chose earlier.
That's all you need to do. It's a little annoying to have to type all of that stuff every time you log in, so here's a way to automate it with mIRC. If this makes no sense to you, don't worry about it.
Automating nick identification:
1) Go to mIRC options (As seen here).
2) In Options, go to "Perform" which is under "IRC" in options. It looks like this:

Make sure that "On connect, perform these commands" is checked. This will let mIRC send this message every time it connects to a server, making it easier on you. As above, PASSWORD should be the password you chose to register your nick with.
If you do that right, you'll be definitely identified every time you log in with no effort on your part.
Hope this helped. Let me know if you have any trouble. Cheers.
