Getting there through mIRC!
updated 12:51 AM / July 30 2002

Okay, here's a silly little webpage that I am making to tell you all how to get to the NODDR chat room using mIRC.  This is assuming you're on Windows, and have mIRC downloaded already.  If you don't, that's okay, just go to http://www.mirc.com and download the latest version.

1) Open the program.  Simple enough...

2) Click on the Options button (as seen here) or press "File > Options," or ALT+O.  That will bring this up.

3) Add a new entry to the servers list by clicking "ADD" on the Options menu under "Connect."  It will bring something like this up.  Enter the information as seen below exactly as it appears, except, of course, for description, where you can type in whatever.

After that, click "Add" and you'll be back at the Options menu.

4) Insert whatever relevant information you can.  You can put whatever you want for Full Name, E-mail Address, and Nickname.  Nobody's going to send you e-mail because of IRC, anyway.  Just remember that your nickname will be what you appear as in the chat room.

5) Search for whatever you put down as the description for the server earlier in that pulldown menu, then hit "Connect to IRC Server"

6) THERE YOU HAVE IT, you are connected.  You can join the IRC channel by typing /join #noddr and you'll be there.  AND YOU CAN START CHATTING RIGHT AWAY if someone is inside!

Hope this helps.

By the way, when you log in, you'll need to know how to REGISTER and IDENTIFY to a nick.  So I made a page for that.

Go back to NODDR Forums?  Cool.
